The two major types of cannabis are Indica and Sativa plants. You can also combine the two types to create hybrid strains. The way in which the cannabis plant is grown brings us to 2 other categories: indoor, and outdoor. This basically means plants that received light energy from lamps (not necessarily on a 24 hour cycle) and plants that received their energy directly from sunlight.

Hash (Hashish) and Cannabis Oil
Then there are also other ways to process the marijuana plant, extracting it’s crystals/resin/trichomes and thus obtaining the well known hashish or hash. Through the dry extracting method you get soft hash and pollinator, and the other one which uses ice gets you ice-o-lator.
The latest way to smoke marijuana takes the form of butane hash oil (BHO) which is a resinous matrix of cannabinoids that are left after solvent extraction from the cannabis plant. If you have not tried it, BHO will change the way you think about the cannabis plant :-)
